/9:1/ To this Peter responded, "Sometimes you urge us on toward heaven's domain, yet at other times you turn us away, Lord. Sometimes you make appeals, draw us toward faith, and promise us life, yet at other times you drive us away from heaven's domain." /2/ The Lord replied to us, "I have offered you faith many times; moreover, I have made myself known to you, James, and you have not understood me. /3/ On the other hand, now I see you rejoicing again and again. And even though you are elated over [the] promise of life, you still despair and become distressed when you are taught about domain. /4/ But you, through faith [and] knowledge, have received life. /5/ Accordingly, disregard rejection when you hear [it], but when you hear about the promise, exult all the more. /6/ I swear to you, whoever receives life and believes in the domain will never leave it---not even if the Father wishes to banish him!
